言語特異的な神経基盤は果たして存在するのでしょうか。少なくとも日常の言語使用やその能力獲得には、様々な言語非特異的な脳メカニズムが重要な役割を果たします。言語機能とその獲得の非言語的な神経基盤に焦点を当てた国際シンポジウムを第42回神経科学大会（2019.7.25-28朱鷺メッセ、新潟市）で開催しました。（杉浦）
