Where Are We Going by Extending the Present? (Symposium Presentation)
Posted in RESEARCH
Where are we going by extending the present? Several previous studies showed that the time-window for multi-sensory integration is known to be as long as 200-300 ms. In addition, this time window can be extended by exposure to sensory lags.
I presented and had a discussion about this adaptive adjustment mechanism of the present at the symposium entitled “What defines 'now'?”in the 83rd annual convention of the Japanese Psychological Association. (Toida)
