201909.12 A scale to measure individual level of general motivation in the middle-aged/elderly (poster presentation) Posted in RESEARCH

We feel motivation for various activities in daily life. A measure to scale the level of this ‘general’ motivation in each individual could be useful to predict the change in the person’s activeness or quality of life as s/he gets older. However, a standardized measure to scale the general level of motivation has been lacking. We developed a 38-item questionnaire for general motivation based on a survey data from a total of 1398 Japanese people aged 50-79. The poster was presented at the 83rd annual convention of the Japanese Psychological Association. (Ishibashi)
