202309.12 Application of Brain Function Measurement to Disaster Prevention Research (Workshop Presentation) Posted in RESEARCH

The key to the application of brain science to disaster prevention is the development of experimental framework for brain measurement. Functional neuroimaging reveals the cognitive processes of human disaster-related cognition and decision making at the brain level, and brings new ideas in conjunction with existing findings in brain science. However, in order to realize this, we must design and validate experimental tasks for this purpose. Collaboration between brain research and disaster research is required to develop this experimental framework. I delivered a presentation at the "Tohoku University - National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED) Workshop for Human Resource Development" held at the International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University.
