202309.17 Adaptation of "self" to AI society (Symposium) Posted in EVENT

How will the ongoing rapid technological expansion beyond human knowledge, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR), affect our "self"? How should we theorize a new "self" that can adapt to future society? Lead by Professor Izumi Uehara (Ochanomizu University), we organized a symposium on this theme at the 87th Annual Convention of the Japanese Psychological Association (Kobe), where I also presented a topic entitled "A Trial Theory on the Power to Live in an AI Society Based on the Three-Layer Brain Model of the Self.” Despite the early Sunday morning, the symposium was attended by close to 100 people, indicating the high level of interest in this topic in the field of psychology. iSugiura)
