Adaptability of "self" in AI/VR society (Workshop presentation)

Virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are bringing us new possibilities for living, beyond the limitations of our senses, our bodies, and our brains' information processing. At the "Self" Study Group Symposium, "Adaptation of the Self to AI Society and Technological Expansion: A New Study of the Self," I presented my views on the adaptability of the "self" based on the three-layer model of the self and the power to live with disasters.
