202310.25 Neural mechanisms of attitudinal prosody perception in a second language (Poster Presentation) Posted in RESEARCH

We investigated the brain mechanisms involved in attitudinal prosody perception in second language (L2) communication. Our findings suggest that L2 learners face a higher linguistic load when processing attitudinal prosody in the L2 and that language exposure may play an important role in L2 attitudinal prosody acquisition I presented this experiment in a poster at the Society for the Neurobiology of Language Conference in Marseille, France, on October 25 th and received valuable comments. I enjoyed numerous of the presentations and learned a lot about other facets of this field. I also learned about soap making in Marseille and enjoyed the scenic views of the sea.
