Human brain science for the future

202204.01 The Neural Basis of Second Language Acquisition through Interaction with Others (New research project) Posted in RESEARCH

It is known that communicative competence in a foreign language is acquired through interaction with others, but the neural basis for this is not yet fully explored. Do oral and written interactions have the same effect? And what is the impact of the role of the learner's cognitive and non-cognitive abilities? I have been selected for a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) (2022-2024) project entitled " The Neural Basis of Second Language Acquisition through Interaction with Others: Commonalities and Specificities of Oral and Written Language Acquisition" to explore these issues.
