Are any personality traits important for disaster survival? If so, what sort of? Eight personality traits are known to have positive effects on disaster survival, based on our previous study with the survivors of 2011 Tohoku earthquake. We recently developed a short questionnaire to measure these traits and confirmed its validity by comparisons of the scores between the survivors and general population.
