Kobe is a famous city for Western-style confectionery. I attended the 20th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Cognitive Psychology in Kobe. It has been a long time since I attended an on-site conference. At the conference venue, beautiful confectioneries by famous shops in Kobe were available for the coffee break. My poster presentation was entitled as 'Compensatory neural mechanism of the elderly for attentional reorientation in driving'. I discussed brain compensation of elderly over confectionery with traffic psychologists. There are some suggestive presentations about aging of the cognitive function or cognition in driving. (Tanabe)
