In everyday life, we often get bored of repeating the same things over and over again. In order to endure such “boredom” (cognitive control), various social brain networks are activated, and we have found that some of these activities are related to creativity. The results of this collaborative research with Sugiko Hanawa, Takayuki Nozawa, and colleagues have been accepted by Thinking Skills and Creativity. (Sugiura)
