People with anorexia nervosa sometimes say that they are overweight. This ‘body image disturbance’ is caused by two components: perceptual disturbance (discrepancy between one’s real body and one’s estimated self-body) and cognitive disturbance (discrepancy between one’s estimated self-body and one’s ideal body). However, brain regions related to each body image disturbance remained unclear. I report that different brain regions related to each body image disturbance and I presented this result at the 5th ensemble workshop held at Tohoku university Katahira campus on 7th June (Hamamoto).
