Can you explain why you can easily recognise so many different objects at your office (scissors, staplers, pens, etc.)? Our study proved that stimulating a few regions in the brain using weak electric current (through a pair of sponge electrodes on the scalp) can improve our recognition of familiar tools. The paper is accepted by Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience.(Ishibashi)
