To build a sustainable society, it is necessary to make decisions that reflect the perspectives and benefits of future generations. Can human brain science contribute to an attempt to introduce a “virtual future generation” into policy making and create a new society? I gave a lecture titled “Brain as a future prediction device” at a research seminar at the Research Institute for Future Design, Kochi University of Technology. (Sugiura)
