202002.25 How to use the brain to solve unexpected problems (Paper publication) Posted in RESEARCH

In order to solve unexpected problems, it is necessary to break away from thinking that depends on procedural manuals. The results of our fMRI experiment supported this notion. During the problem-solving task, it was shown that those who had low activity in the brain network related to such inappropriate thinking processes had higher task performance and daily trouble-solving tendency (problem soling in “power to live”). The results of the joint research with Prof. Naoki Miura (Tohoku Institute of Technology) have been published in The Transactions of Human Interface Society. (Sugiura)
