Referring the association of output and its feedback input to as "internal schema," then the human cerebrum is a multilayered structure of internal schema that has evolved for environmental adaptation. At the 92nd Tohoku Regional Meeting of the Japanese Society for Psychosomatic Medicine, I gave a special lecture titled "Considering Environmental Adaptation at Three Levels: Physical, Interpersonal, and Social Values: Implications from Brain Imaging Studies of Self-awareness.” (Sugiura) http://www.shinshin-igaku.com/about/pdf/branch_02_210215.pdf
