How can we provide neuroscientific evidence for humanistic knowledge? A symposium exploring the possibilities for MRI-based collaborative research in the humanities and social sciences, "The Potential for Brain Function Research on Language, Cognition, and Emotion," was be held under the auspices of the Laboratory of Linguistics, Graduate School of Arts and Letters, and co-sponsored by the Brain MRI Center. Diverse participants interested in the study of brain functions of language, cognition, and emotion discussed the expansion of interdisciplinary research with language at its core. (Sugiura, Jeong)
