202409.25 Harnessing Neuroscience to Master Emotional Vocabulary in a Second Language(Tohoku University Professor Fujino Incentive Award 2024) Posted in EVENT

Communicating emotions through language is a crucial aspect of language learning and human interaction. Yet, traditional second language (L2) classrooms often overlook how to understand and teach the emotional dimensions of language. Utilizing advanced brain imaging technology, my research delved into the acquisition of emotional vocabulary in a second language, offering innovative methodologies for educational practice. This contribution earned me the Tohoku University Professor Fujino Incentive Award 2024. The work not only provides a fresh perspective for L2 teaching practices but also opens new avenues for understanding cross-cultural emotional communication, marking a significant step forward in integrating technology and the humanities in teaching methods.
