202409.06 The long-term memory may have an inhibitory effect from working memory (Poster presentation) Posted in RESEARCH

A classic model of memory assumes that information stored in the short-term memory is automatically transferred into the long-term memory. On the other hand, the working memory model, which stores and processes information simultaneously, emphasises the importance of the control function. We have investigated whether the effect of control in working memory remains in the long-term memory and discussed our findings at the 88th annual convention of the Japanese Psychological Association.
