Exploring the Potential of Cognitive Neuroscience in Declining Birthrates (Workshop)
Posted in EVENT
The declining birthrate is the biggest socioeconomic issue in Japan, but the government's economic measures do not seem to be working. There seems to be a major psychological reason behind this, which cannot be explained by economic or health reasons, but research efforts on this issue are insignificant. Researchers and students of various specialties and interests from different generations exchanged opinions online to see if we can challenge this important theme through social surveys and brain measurement research.
Session 1: 7/31 (Wed.) 12:00-13:00
Session 2: 8/1 (Thu) 13:00-14:00
We discussed the possibility of involving different psychological processes in different situations due to different economic backgrounds, gender roles, attitudes toward children, etc., and the possibility of examining these from diverse perspectives such as attachment, physicality, personality psychology, and social ecology.
