Anxiety reduction effect of online passive listening of Sutra Chanting (Conference presentation)
Posted in RESEARCH
There is much debate about the effectiveness of religious care, but quantitative evidence of its effectiveness is currently scarce. In this project, led by Prof. Yozo Taniyama (Graduate School of Arts and Letters, Tohoku University) and graduate student Taira Tokumasu, we examined the anxiety-reducing effects of listening to Sutra Chanting in an online setting and the factors that promote such effects. The preliminary results of the analysis were reported at the 18th Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Buddhist Nursing and Vihara Studies. (Sugiura) https://www.jabnvs.org/annualmeeting
