Special information is announced when the possibility of a Nankai Trough earthquake increases. Related municipalities are required to make a precautious evacuation plan in response to his information. However, a survey of the attitudes of residents in coastal areas has revealed a variety of issues, including understanding of this information and concerns about precautious evacuation. In the interim report meeting held in Kochi City by the "Interdisciplinary Project on Special Information on Nankai Trough Earthquake" of IRIDeS, Tohoku University, we made preliminary report on the survey results.
