202304.12 Individual differences in response to heat and cold ( Paper publication) Posted in RESEARCH

Some people are unable to move when it's hot, others happily venture out into the snowy mountains, and still others worry about the weather forecast. Everyone reacts differently to heat and cold. Our social survey revealed that there are three dimensions to these individual differences: motivational decline, active behavior, and proactive response. Brain response patterns to ambient thermal stress revealed that motivational decline and proactive response can be positioned as emotion-focused coping and problem-focused coping, respectively. On the other hand, active behavior was found to be closely related to the power to live with disasters. The paper was published in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience under the title of "Motivational decline and proactive response under thermal environmental stress are related to emotion- and problem-focused coping, respectively: Questionnaire construction and fMRI study".
