202403.27 Why do people remember things to the wrong person? (Poster Presentation) Posted in RESEARCH

It is not uncommon that people remember the past events correctly, but attributing it to the wrong person. This is referred to as ‘Memory Misattribution’. We used behavioral and fMRI experiments to investigate the mechanism of memory misattribution and found that the variety of shared experience play an important role. This result is presented at the Society of Social Neuroscience at Tsukuba, Japan. It was the first time for me to present at an international conference, it was very interesting to introduce my research to others and discuss with them. I also received many comments that were helpful and they inspired me of my future research direction. (He Xinyi)
