Exploring Brain Regions Associated with Risk Sensitivity and Risk Scrutiny Attitudes Toward Tsunami Evacuation Behavior(oral presentation)

In our behavioral experiments using a tsunami evacuation simulation task, we found that risk sensitivity and risk scrutiny attitudes are involved in evacuation decision making. However, how this mechanism contributes to evacuation decision making from a cognitive neuroscience perspective has not been clarified.
In this study, we gave an oral presentation on the results of an fMRI experiment using the tsunami evacuation simulation task described above at the Japan Geoscience Union Meeting 2024 Disaster Prevention Literacy Subcommittee. We had a lively discussion both onsite and online, including questions about the emotional control characteristics used in the analysis and about the fMRI experiment. (Takubo)
