NEURAL MECHANISM MEDIATING OPTIMISM CHANGE BY REMINISCENCE (Poster presentation)
Posted in RESEARCH
It has been known that reminiscing nostalgic memories can increase the belief that the future holds more success than failures (optimism). We investigated the neural correlates of this optimism change by combining reminiscence task and functional MRI, and revealed the involvement of medial prefrontal cortex. I gave a poster presentation at the 33rd Annual Conference of the European Health Psychology Society. I was awarded a Early Career Health Psychologist prize from The Japanese Association of Health Psychology by this work. (Oba)
