Neural correlates of Japanese honorific agreement processing mediated by socio-pragmatic factors (Publication)

Japanese honorific expressions are known as grammaticalized honorific expressions, which apply syntactic forms to mark the social relations between interlocutors. Using fMRI, we found brain activations relevant to syntactic and social cognitive processing is engaged in honorific utterances comprehension.
