201808.16 Four presentations at the SNL 2018 conference, Quebec City, Canada Posted in RESEARCH

This year is the 10th anniversary of the Society for the Neurobiology of Language (SNL) conference which was started as a satellite symposium of the Society for Neuroscience (SFN). Among the Sugiura lab members I am the only one who has attended the SNL conference since 2013. But, this year, four papers were presented including collaborative work with Sophia University (Japanese sentences processing) and Nagoya University (intensive training effects of English listening). At SNL conferences there is always a very limited number of studies presented by researchers from Japan and Asian countries (according to SNL statistics less than 5-10% of a whole presentations). This year, our Sugiura lab at Tohoku University showed its presence to the world. Let the world know what we are doing at Tohoku University. If you are interested in brain and language research, please contact us. (Jeong)
