202401.11 Can Brain Science be Applied to Law (Workshop Report) Posted in EVENT

There seem to be various possibilities for cognitive neuroscience to contribute to jurisprudence, such as theorizing legal thinking itself, understanding the perception and thought processes of various parties involved in legislation, administration, and judiciary, and supporting education for legal professionals. At the 8th Civil Law Workshop held at Tohoku University School of Law, I made a report on the topic of " Basics of fMRI brain function measurement research and its potential application to law," and exchanged opinions with researchers from various fields of law.
